Summary

Develop, implement, and periodically evaluate a program to ensure the organization's production operations, from raw materials to finished products, meet the quality, integrity, and efficiency standards set by the organization. Accountable for all aspects of safety at PLAE, including developing and implementing safety policies, conducting safety audits, investigating accidents, and training employees.

Safety:
● Developing and implementing workplace safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards.

● Providing personnel with safety-related information such as training sessions, emergency protocols, and proper use of safety equipment.

● Create, maintain, and review safety policies and procedures to ensure they are up to date.

● Overseeing the company's daily operations and identifying opportunities for improvement of safety regulations.

● Performing safety audits and physically inspecting all work areas and departments to identify possible safety issues.

● Conducting risk assessments to minimize workplace accidents, occupational illnesses or long-term health hazards.

Quality:

● Evaluates production operations from a strategic level to ensure that products meet quality, integrity, functionality, and other specifications and requirements.

● Collaborates with management and staff across production departments and roles to draft acceptable quality standards.

● Develops and implements quality standard testing and evaluation processes.

● Facilitates communication among production divisions and management.

● Assesses test results and approves recommended changes.

● Reviews quality control documentation such as checklists, logs, and reports for effectiveness, accuracy, and relevance.

● Conducts random inspections and quality control checks.

● Periodically reports status of quality control and operations to executive leadership and, when required, regulatory agencies.

● Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requisitos

Required Skills/Abilities

● Awareness of fundamental Safety, and Quality Control procedures.

● Ability to visually differentiate colors, textures, and patterns

● Capable of working independently and collaboratively with a diverse team

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills

● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google G Suite software

Supervisory Responsibilities:

● None

Education and Experience:

● Technical certificate or an Associate’s degree from a Quality Assurance training program

● OSHA certifications a plus

Physical Requirements:

● Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

● Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

● Ability to travel throughout the facility as required to conduct safety inspections.
