About the Role

You will prepare foods for patients, staff, and guests. You will also assist with general cleaning of the cooking and eating areas. In the absence of a Manager, the cook supervises the dietary staff, ensuring that the facility and departmental policies and procedures are adhered to. You will be responsible for ensuring that proper sanitation, safety and infection control policies are being followed. This role will be accepting and understanding both verbal and written instructions. You will provide high quality food preparation and service. Other responsibilities included but not limited to, maintaining high standards of quality food production, portion control, team player, problem solving, and able to bring positive and sustainable solutions to identified problems.

Requirements

You are attentive to detail and organized, focused on being a customer-service oriented team member.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • At least (1) year of cooking experience

Preferred qualifications

  • Culinary Arts degree preferred

  • Completion of state or local food safety training course preferred

  • Hospital experience is preferred

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:30am-6:00pm and every other weekend, 6:00am-6:30pm
