About the Role
Reporting to:
• This role will report directly to the Director of Operations
The Role:
• Working within our Operations team this role will be the key link in estimating projects for PLAE Vertical. This will be done by collaborating with our sales team, sub contractors, vendors, operations, install crews and manufacturing to deliver high quality estimates for our customers. You will work closely with our teams as needed, while also interacting with customers over email and phone. The goal is the exceed Customers expectations and focusing on maintaining or increasing overall job margin.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Estimating:
• Using architectural drawings, CAD files, or measurements to outfit a training space with PLAE flooring
• Working with numbers and mathematical concepts to calculate quantities
• Clear communication with Sales Rep/Director of Sales to ensure all involved are up to date on the job.
• Develop and manage a process, that includes the following:
• Create Take Off & Estimate
• Work through any updates or revisions if necessary
• Assist the PM team if any issues arise in relation to corresponding estimate/take off/ shop drawing with assistance from the Document Control Team.
• Entering any an all necessary information within our CRM system, Zoho.
• Communicate each day to the sales team on any tasks that are assigned.
• Owning all equipment estimates
Bids: ·
Assisting the Sales Team and Project Manager in reviewing all documentation, and owning the estimating portion. Submitting for Bonds if required. WE EXIST TO INNOVATE AND DELIVER HIGH-PERFORMANCE SOLUTIONS, AND WORLD-CLASS EXPERIENCES FOR THOSE WHO REFUSE SECOND BEST.
Shop Drawings: ·
• Assisting the Document Controller in completing a shop drawing for specified job
• Submit for all logos // custom work and CC’ing Document Controller on all correspondence
Requirements
Job Requirements:
• Excellent customer focused communication
• Experience in Estimating Preferred
• Great communicator both written and verbal
• Have a high attention to detail
• Team Player
• Basic Mathematical Skills
• Ability to create basic cut sheets and drawings
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Keynote
Success Criteria:
The Estimating role is measured on process improvement for take offs, estimates, stronger relationships, proficient communication, and overall a better process from start to finish on a job.
